Stichting Leergeld: free warm clothing with the winter clothing pass

Dear parents/guardians,

It's getting colder outside, so we want to dress ourselves and our children nice and warm. Not every family has money to purchase warm clothing, such as a winter coat. Stichting Leergeld Den Haag can help low-income families with the Winter Clothing Pass. With this pass you can buy winter clothing for your child at various stores.

You can apply for the winter clothing pass yourself from Stichting Leergeld, the school does not need to know anything about this. Please visit https://www.leergelddenhaag.nl/winterkledingpassen-2020/veelzocht-vragen.

If you need help with this, please contact your child's teacher or the internal supervisor. You may also contact me about this. Below you can read more about Stichting Leergeld.

About Stichting Leergeld
The Leergeld Foundation is committed to helping families with a low income, where 'participating' at school and in their free time is not possible for financial reasons. As a result, these children do not have the opportunity to fully develop. Children who grow up in these types of situations are more likely to suffer from health problems and feelings of loneliness, have lower educational performance and are more likely to end up in a situation of poverty or crime again later.

Stichting Leergeld helps with the purchase of winter clothing, but can also help with the purchase of a computer, bicycle or, for example, a judo suit, swimwear or football boots. Sometimes there are special requests, such as the reimbursement of a treat for a birthday, that the Leergeld Foundation can help with.
