Every child in their strength

Every child in their strength

School hours

Diamond has a continuous grid. This means that students stay at school until the end of their school day. They bring their own lunch and eat it in their main group with the teacher. In the morning (and if students have an afternoon activity also in the afternoon) there is a small break for which you can give your child something to drink and a small snack/piece of fruit.

Our school times are:

Monday

8.30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Tuesday

8.30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Wednesday

8.30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Thursday

8.30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Friday

8.30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

In addition, we have a mandatory extended learning period, during which time we organize workshops around a specific theme. Students choose one workshop from 2 - 4 p.m.

The afternoon program is organized as follows:

  • The children from year 1 (4-year-olds) do not participate in the afternoon program, they are free every day at 2 p.m.
  • Students from groups 1, 2, 3 and NT2A follow the 'enriched play' workshop specially designed for them with many outdoor activities. They have no choice in workshop, only choice in the day of the week. This program starts in period 2 after the autumn holidays.
  • All other students (from group 4 and NT2B) choose 1 workshop per week. They are at school 1 day a week until 4 p.m.
  • Students from groups 7 and 8 have a mandatory English lesson from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and they also choose a workshop.
  • Students who are new to school do not have to participate in the afternoon program during the first period they start at school.

After each holiday a new period of workshops starts. These are 5 different periods during the school year. Two weeks before the start, parents and children will receive information about the new afternoon program. They can determine their choice together with their parents, registration is done at school together with the teacher. The order of registration changes per period, so that every child has the opportunity to be assigned to the workshop he/she has chosen.
